Who We Are

With decades of experience, Novus Financial Solutions is dedicated to providing you with reliable, personalised mortgage advice. Our fully qualified advisers are committed to guiding you through every step of your home-buying journey, ensuring clarity and confidence along the way. We know what the process looks like, how to best present your circumstances to the banks and how to deal with underwriting. Taking the time to articulate this can be the difference in securing the property you really want because a certain bank may lend more, achieving a lower rate to save your hard earned cash or simply just getting the job done.

We offer a mortgage service which is representative of the whole of market. This includes high street banks, private banks, challenger banks, building societies and international lenders. We really feel that having a problem-solving attitude is a huge advantage. If there is a solution out there for you, we’ll find it.

Our time in the industry has allowed us to develop relationships with Key Account managers and underwriters. It’s important to understand that each lender has a unique ‘appetite’ or lending profile, some will have more flexibility to consider circumstances outside of their normal policy. Other lenders simply will not. Having the experience to understand this and the relationships to challenge lenders is invaluable. We are working hard behind the scenes before even recommending your mortgage, ensuring you have the better chance of success.

Ajay Waroo

I have been working in Financial Services as a Mortgage Adviser for 15 years now. Over these years, I’ve learned that taking the time to really talk to my clients adds incredible value. It allows me to have a clear understanding of their plans and objectives so I can help with giving the correct advice. Thinking outside of the box and advising on strategies for them to achieve their dreams is what motivates me. And I am absolutely dedicated to finding the best possible deals for their circumstances. I believe these are the core reasons why I’m able to build trusted long-term relationships with my clients.

In my spare time you can catch me travelling to countries with rich history and cuisine. Experiencing different cultures, architecture, markets, along with all things holiday is what my wife and I work for. I’m a family man at heart who is always on hand to help when required… unless the football is on of course!

Jonathan Smith

I started my career in bank assurance, advising on mortgage finance for a high street provider through their flagship branches. With experience in high net worth lending and more complex transactions, I naturally transitioned into whole of market advice. I work hard to structure cases and find solutions when others cannot, taking time to carefully understand a client’s needs and deliver great outcomes. I firmly believe that communication is key and take time to build a strong working relationship with all my clients. Whether it’s answering generic questions, or giving advice on the most complicated of deals, I'm happy to help.

In my spare time, I live a life of two halves. Often competing in motorsport competitions, either at the racetrack or in E-Sports events online. When I'm not living life in the fast lane, I can be found playing Golf, enjoying a long walk and having adventures in the great British countryside with my family, friends and four-legged companion Scout. .

Mark Nicholls

I’ve been a Mortgage Broker now for approximately 20 years, having previously been a Mortgage Adviser at Lloyds Bank and a Bank Manager before that. Dealing with clients is the best part of the job and finding the very best solution for them provides great satisfaction. Offering a great service is always the aim too as retaining long term client relationships and referrals to friends and family is so important. All types of mortgage enquiries are very welcome.

I’m a keen sportsman, but because the old bones can’t get me around the football pitch any longer, you’ll often find me on the local golf courses, or at the oche or pool table in my local club. I’m also an animal lover and have two enormous dogs, Doogie and Ralph that keep me busy and entertained.

Emily Tucker

I am the Executive Assistant at Novus and I have been working within the mortgage industry for the last three and a half years. I am extremely passionate about my role, assisting clients all the way from the start of their process, through to completion and beyond. Having recently bought my first home, I understand that the mortgage process can often be overwhelming, but here at Novus we strive to relieve some of this pressure.

I spend a lot of my spare time with friends and family whilst also enjoying the occasional trip overseas with my partner. You may find me exploring the countryside and beaches surrounding my home alongside my puppy Milo, or otherwise sat in front of the fire with my two cats Luna and Nala.
